I was born on an Air Force Base in California to June and Franco. I am the oldest child of two. My parents divorced when I was only 5 or 6. While my mother moved to Wisconsin my father stayed in California.  I was lucky enough to be able to spend time in both states. California offered me the beach, the sun, the ocean, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Monterey, and earthquakes. Wisconsin offered lush greenery, snow activities, and tornadoes.  While I love each state for different reasons I decided to call Wisconsin home for good in 1993.

My writing style can be attributed to all the great educators I have had throughout my life.

Ms. Stimpson – California – She was the first one that pushed me to develop my writing style.

Ms. Lee – California – Made learning history fun and really gave my imagination a kick in the booty

Mr. Smeltzer – California – Mr. Smeltzer was a drama teacher and he single handlely made me be a better person. I always regretted moving before I was able to audition for Annie in ‘Annie of Green Gables.’

Mr. Heike – Wisconsin – Mr. Heike pushed my mind more than any other teacher I had before.  His teaching methods spurred on my love for the written word.

After Highschool I had originally planned to attend the Culinary Institute of America in New York, however, my life took me down another path.

I met Lane in May of 1998. Together we live in Wisconsin and  have three children, one 18 year old cat name Princess and one 3 year old Pomeranian Lucy.

One day we hope to buy that little piece of property on the lake and build that perfect house.
